A 144-degree Indexable Spotting Drill has been added to the four Ingersoll spotting drills presently available.
It has been added to accomodate the 140-degree included point angle on solid carbide drills and the Quik-Twist replaceable point drills.
Features:

The 144-degree spot angle provides better drill centering capability for 140-degree included angle drills.
First drill contact is at the drill point, eliminating chipping at the cutting edges.
Drill loading increases incrementally with penetration.
Indexable design eliminates downtime for resharpening.
The design assures repeatability of the Z-axis position with each insert index.
Insert and Carbide Grade

SELW100403N insert (previously SELP32-01), the same as used on the present 118-degree and 135-degree spotting drills.
Carbide grade IN1530 (previously 555), a tough general-purpose grade.
Insert thickness of .181" and a corner radius of .010" provide a strong cutting edge geometry.
