A 144-degree Indexable Spotting Drill has been added to the four Ingersoll spotting drills presently available.
It has been added to accomodate the 140-degree included point angle on solid carbide drills and the Quik-Twist replaceable point drills. |
|
|
| Features: |
|
| The 144-degree spot angle provides better drill centering capability for 140-degree included angle drills. |
| First drill contact is at the drill point, eliminating chipping at the cutting edges. |
| Drill loading increases incrementally with penetration. |
| Indexable design eliminates downtime for resharpening. |
| The design assures repeatability of the Z-axis position with each insert index. |
|
| Insert and Carbide Grade |
|
| SELW100403N insert (previously SELP32-01), the same as used on the present 118-degree and 135-degree spotting drills. |
| Carbide grade IN1530 (previously 555), a tough general-purpose grade. |
| Insert thickness of .181" and a corner radius of .010" provide a strong cutting edge geometry. |
